MDS automatically scans over 35,000 media sources in 12 Indic languages and English, identifying potential health events and sending real-time alerts to health authorities.
The AI model learns from data collected during ANC visits, combining medical history with new information to flag potential no-shows.
Real-World Impact
Now a core part of India’s Integrated Disease Surveillance Program, MDS generated 98% of all media alerts from the central surveillance unit in 2023. Since 2022, it has flagged over 110,000 unique events, leading to 437 confirmed outbreaks.
